Tissot is one of the most beloved Swiss luxury watch brands.

The company was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland, by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile Tissot in 1853. Since 1983, Tissot SA has been a subsidiary of the Swiss Swatch Group.

It is important to note that Tissot is not related to another similar-sounding Swiss watch company, Mathey-Tissot.

Tissot is the official watch and chronometer brand of the world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey and many more.

Tissot has also been a major sponsor of Formula 1 teams Lotus, Renault and Sauber. For early events, manual chronometers were sufficient to ensure accurate time.

Today, the company works with various sports associations to develop systems to create increasingly accurate measurements for specific events. For example, in competitive cycling, sensors are placed on the bikes and the track, which are then connected to computers to provide the most accurate time traces and performance data possible.

Tissot recently unveiled its brand new global campaign "Tissot, it's your time". The message at the heart of the campaign emphasizes the watch, which is associated with the milestones in a person's life.

And the new line, new visuals and powerful communication serve to underline Tissot's position in the market.
